USB Speaker works...but not for my ITunes...? Can anyone help?

I just got a new speaker for my computer. It works on the USB (with no other cord——just plugged into the USB port.) If I listen to a radio show online…... live… it’s fine. But if the show /music is on ITunes (and most of the things I listen to are saved and opened with ITunes) it will only come out through the speakers in the computer, not the external new speaker even if the external speaker is plugged into the USB port. It is not diverting sound from ITunes into the external speaker…it continues to play only in the internal computer speakers.

I went into the control panel, this device is not on there, it was and now it is not showing. It didn’t work when it was showing either, though.

If you know what I am doing wrong…can you please advise? And as I always state when I post tech questions…be kind as I am not tech savvy. (A. do this B. do this is what I can handle…:)
