Why am I not being credited for my lurve?

Asked by Aesthetic_Mess (7894points) January 11th, 2011

I’ve had a whole bunch of GQs and GAs that I was awarded when I was gone, but my points are still the same as yesterday morning

They were probably awarded to you by people who have already maxed out on you. Each user can give each other user only 100 lurve that will count on the total.

Lurve taxes.

Your lurve is working. It went up when I gave you a GQ.

Obama is a Socialist and gave them to me.

I have a similar issue. I have 325 lurve, but it doesn’t give me the 250 award. I also got starfish yesterday, but still have only 13 awards! Why??

I am still working on “What is the true meaning of lurve???” So I don’t yet have time to keep count of it.

Lurve counts the positive contribution to the Fluther network. If your answer is marked up as “great answer,” you get lurve.

Actually having awards show on a profile appears to be a little buggy at the moment.

The volunteer staff will figure it out.

Lurve itself works great. :D

yeah my lurve is working:)

I have given GA and GQ to all contributers. If your lurve didn’t move, you are maxed out on me.

It’s another way The Man is keeping us down. If you’ve been here for a while and the active membership stays somewhat static then you will never advance past the people who already have more points than you. But new people who sign up will quickly shoot up to be on the same level creating the illusion of equality.

Power to the People, uh, people. Fight the power! Except, of course, when power is to the people. Look, never mind.
