How does a spider make a thread from one table to another 5 feet apart, 4 feet off the floor? No wind or draft involved.

Perhaps by starting at one end, gliding down to the floor, then crawling across the floor and up the other table? If the spider was trailing the thread the whole way, it would still be there and could be snipped or tightened as needed.

It’s got to start from the ceiling…the spider slides down, plants a thread on the table, then travels back up and then over the top of the other table and drops down….
