What happened to my "Questions for You?"?

Asked by rooeytoo (26981points) January 12th, 2011

I had 12 in the “Questions for You” space and then they suddenly disappeared and I was back to only 1. I had glanced at them earlier and there were some good ones that I would have responded to when I had time. Where did they go???

I noticed this the other day but usually go thru the list so wasn’t worried.

A while back, “Questions for You” was tweaked so that once a question had X number of answers, it would disappear from your QFY page. The hope was to help people manage the number of QFY they had sitting there, by eliminating ones that had likely been fully answered.

@augustlan – so it is determined by the number of answers the question has amassed, not by how many are in my box! I wondered about that because it seemed as if sometimes they disappeared more quickly than others.

I don’t think I like that, as I said there were some in there that interested me but then they were gone! And these days there are so many questions asked that it is too time consuming to go through them all.

Thanks Auggie for the answer! You are on the ball.

@rooeytoo This is one of those things that works well if you have a thousand QFY, but not so much if you tend to stay on top of them and keep the number low. Sorry!

I had wondered this as well. I really don’t like that some of the good questions get taken out before I even get a chance to see them. Is this a permanent change?
