Can you think of any good quotes about laughter to put on a gravestone?

Asked by Rarebear (25154points) January 13th, 2011

My sister died a couple of months ago and my mom is looking for a quote about laughter to put on the headstone. She was the kind of person who was the life of a party, a comedian, who liked to laugh and make other people laugh. She asked me to search to interwebs for something good, but I thought I’d cheat and ask you all.

I’ll add that my mom already looked at this website

She wanted other ideas.

I’m a Khalil Gibran fan to as great an extent as someone could be.

“I would not exchange the laughter of my heart for the fortunes of the multitudes.”

Thanks! Keep ‘em coming! It’s not something I particularly want to research on my own.

Another KG quote.
“Let there be laughter. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.” Shortened from “In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.”

@Taciturnu I love the one from Peter Ustinov. Very appropriate for a gravestone.

@Taciturnu Just to let you know, this is the one she decided on. ”β€œIn the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.” She read it to me and burst into tears.
