What is a good curtain or other window covering for a bay window, which I would like to be able to see out of occasionally?

My kitchen window is a bay window. It looks out onto the backyard. There is a patio surrounded by a wall, and a hill. At the top of the hill is a path where people walk their dogs, and there’s a house where the neighbors are sometimes in their yard. Beyond this horizon is the sky and trees, and I love that view.

I want a window covering that will enable me to get light in, and I can open to access the view during the day. However, at night, I want privacy so people can’t look in and see me, my family or my (sometimes messy) house. The window covering has to be appropriate to a bay window. Bay window has white trim. I used to have a sheer valance in the window, which was very pretty and allowed light but did nothing toward privacy.

Any suggestions?

Shutters would be nice, or a bamboo Roman shade if you can find the right size.

here I like the mini blinds on bay windows as you can control the amount of light you let in.
