Please help me identify this song?

Asked by weeveeship (4665points) January 21st, 2011

Song details:
*Heard on radio in a store
*Don’t know the station, but the station also played Taylor Swift’s “Mine” so it is probably a contemporary pop station
*Sung by a man
*In English
*Sounds like a happy song

Notes from the Chorus(I might be using a different key from the actual song):
GGBBDDE
GGABAG
I think this was repeated.

I think the word happy (or a word that rhymes with that) was mentioned in the chorus.

Edit: self edit. Realized you said you didn’t know the station.

The word “happy” makes me think Ra Ra Riot or OK Go, but not sure if a station that played Taylor Swift would play them?

This is a shot in the dark, but it might be this song Forgive the commercials
And forgive me if I’m wrong. When I played the notes on the keyboard, that’s what it remotely sounded like. There are two extra E’s, and when I played them, that’s the song I thought of

When I played the virtual guitar it certainly sounded like the song @Aesthetic_Mess suggested. There is another song that almost sounds like it but I can’t think of what it is. If I hear it I will let you know, but I have heard that tune before.
Nice virtual key board.

It was “Dutty Love”! The “Happy” word I was thinking of was actually “Dutty.” Thanks!
