Where are the saved games kept in need for madness?

Asked by XOIIO (18328points) January 21st, 2011

In the downloaded version of Need For Madness it appears that all the data is in one folder, but I can’t see any files that contain saved game info. I want to back that file up only and possibly edit it to unlock all the levels. Any help?

I don’t actually know the answer, but if you’re running Windows Vista or 7, many newer games save info to either your documents folder (c:\Users\[yourusername]\My Documents

or in the hidden Appdata folder c:\Users\[yourusername]\Appdata
There’s usually 3 folders in Appdata, most games will have a folder in Roaming but on rare occasion it will be in Local. To find this hidden Appdata folder go to your start menu, control panel, In the top right change view to “Large Icons” (you can change it back later) then choose “Folder Options.” In Folder Options click the “View” tab and 6 options down you’ll see :Hidden files and folders” click on “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” and then you’ll be able to see Appdata in the location I stated above. Most games have a folder named for the game publisher or developer so look for that instead of just the title of the game (example: Call of duty black ops would be in c:\Users\Appdata\Local\Activision\Call OFDuty Black Ops or something similar). Hope this helps ya
