I’d say no. I did have mine jailbroken for a while but then I just decided it was pointless. Most of the games weren’t that fun. Plus Apple will be opening the app store next month I believe and there will be some really really cool games out.

YES! I love my itouch even more now that it is jail broken.

My iPhone is jailbroken out of necessity (need it unlocked), but even if it wasn’t needed I probably would. (Hello? There’s a Flashlight app! Twitxr, iFob, and iRadio are also good) But, ya, the games suck (bring on Spore!)

Jailbreak it!!! The basic itouch is boring. Why wait on the apple store? That’s just it!! A store….. Why keep making Steve Jobs rich? He already has the iTunes store. I guarantee you that there will not be an app to download mp3s directly to your iTouch. I have such an app and I’m loving it. If you watch youtube on your device, wouldn’t it be nice to watch those offline? You can with a jailbroken iTouch. Just google MX Tube. The person that said it was pointless probably works at the Apple Store. Please forgive him.

To Boonie: if you didn’t see the Apple March 6 Event, then let me inform you about the App Store. A lot of the apps which will be on the App Store will be free because then the developer won’t even have to pay anything (well, yes, after paying $99 for the dev program, but that’s not the point). It’s the developer’s decision if he or she wants to put a price on their app, and that’s their problem, not yours, so if you’re so bent on doing something illegal, you go ahead and do it. I agree with Breefield, it’s pointless, and I don’t work at the Apple Store, I don’t know about him. Stop infecting people with the idiotic idea that jailbreaking your iPod touch is a great thing, because it’s not and it never will be. I agree that some jailbroken apps are cool, but I think I’m going to wait for the App Store before I jailbreak my iPod touch.
