“you’re the one that I want”...or at least I think that’s what it’s called.

peedub's avatar

Giggles stopped watching grease to celebrate double digits!

giggles's avatar

@peedub yes, yes I did!!!!! Its because I’m so excited!!!!!!

peedub's avatar

It went a little something like this: shee sheeee dee bee beeeep Dii waaaaa waa waaaaa aaahhh…

giggles's avatar

hahahaha you would!!! LOL

TheHaight's avatar

that’s “your the one that I want” peedub….. Well at least I think it is? I don’t think “shee diii wahhhhhh” was really how it went though, but I forgive you for butchering the song. kidding!!

giggles's avatar

the song I’m thinking of is at the end when they are at the school carnival and someone asks if they are still gunna be friends and danny says yes then they go shee dee bee beee beeeep dii waa waaaaa aahhh!!! And then they all start dancing and the movies over!!!!

Greased Lightning! Those lads running around that garage dancing and singing has to be one of the funniest moments in movie-history :)

Greased Lightning… Because I went see it at the movies and I heard them use a curse word in the song. It was the first time I heard a bad word in a movie. I thought it was so bad. I was about 8 years old at the time.

Hopelessly Devoted to You; I was five years old when I saw this in the theatre (now you know my age), and had one if my first crushes on that girl (Olivia Newton John)...

Also I like the song because of its homage to the genre of teen ballads, and it’s the only non-irritant of the movie.

@giggles: The song you’re thinking of is called “We go together”.

babygalll's avatar

You better shape up…cause I need a man!

WastaBwoy's avatar

Grease is the word!

babygalll's avatar

Now you all got me in the mood to watch the movie and sing along with all the great songs. We should throw a Grease party!

wildflower's avatar

I went to a Grease party once. We were all dressed as T-birds or pink ladies and had alcoholic milkshakes! It rocked! :)

peedub's avatar

@wild- that sounds cool. I love “The Outsiders,” can it be fair to say this is the guy’s version of Grease?

giggles's avatar

I have that movie!!! Pony boy is the sweetest!!!!

wildflower's avatar

Kinda – although thruth be told I preferred The Outsiders to Grease. The book at least, but it did have less musical numbers with funny dancing…
