If someone gives me access to their Google analytics account, will I be able to access their gmail?

Asked by gsiener (454points) April 14th, 2008

My boss set up analytics for our company’s website, but won’t let me be an administrator (to add websites, etc) because he’s afraid I’ll have access to his email.

The administrator can add users to allow access to Analytics. This doesn’t allow access to their email.

Thanks, that’s what I thought. Is there any documentation out there that spells this out?

I’m a web analytics professional and use Google Analytics and Gmail every day. I have granted Google Analytics access to my partner and to my vendor and can assure you that you will not be able to access your boss’s email account.
