Does anyone have an older version of Joy of Cooking that has a recipe for "Spanish Chicken"? It's probably a 1970's version.

The 97 version doesn’t have it in there.

Found it.
preheat oven to 350 deg
Cut into pieces 4lb frying chicken. Dredge them with seasoned flour ( 1 cup flour, 1 tsp salt,½ tsp paprika, 1/8 tsp ginger or nutmeg)
Heat in skillet: ¼ cup olive oil. Brown chicken in it, place in casserole. Saute in oil in skillet: ¼ cup chopped onion, 3 tbsp chopped green pepper, 1 minced glove garlic.
Add:
½ cup chopped carrots, ½ cup chopped celery, 1 cup chopped, seeded, pelled tomatoes, ¾ cup tomato juice.
Pour these ingredients over chicken in casserole. Bake covered for about one hour. Add if needed boiling stock. Five minutes before chicken is done add:¾ cup sauteed mushrooms, ⅓ cup sliced stuffed olives.
Then it says something about pan gravy, but the page with that recipe is missing, sorry. But there’s the bulk of the recipe from the 1973 edition.
