How many days after "shipment accepted" will I get my package?

Asked by Aubs427 (421points) February 7th, 2011 from iPhone

I ordered something online from best buy and I checked the tracking number for UPS and it states that the “shipment acceptance” in a city that’s incredibly close to my home.

How many more days do I have to wait to receive the package if it is already nearby?

My guess is that the people who delivered it recorded it as being delivered, and actually delivered it, but in the wrong city. You will need your tracking receipt (copy it off and fax it to Best Buy) so you can begin a dialogue with them. Ask them to assist you in communicating to the delivery company. If it was insured, you can get easily a replacement; if it was not, it might be harder. Also, ask them to read to you the address to which the package was sent to make sure the label was properly addressed.

This sounds like it will be a very frustrating experience for you. Be as persistent as it takes, but be sure you don’t lose your temper with anyone, because your options will be limited if you piss someone off.

Don’t waste any more time! The longer you wait, the less chance you’ll have of seeing your stuff.

Oh, and if you bought it with a credit card, talk to the card company and tell them your story. They may have more options or support for you.

The word “accepted” means the UPS system has the tracking number only not the package. The electronic notice of a package on a dock waiting for pick-up, if that makes sense.

If have had a package waiting for pick-up for three days, it depends on Best Buy and how they pick and ship from the Warehouse.
