What is up with teenager girls sending pictures of there body parts with text messages?

I know several younger guys, and almost all of them have boob shots and some c- shots that girls from 14 on up send them. They have a huge number of them, and usually get one every couple of days. Why would girls do that? Trying to impress boys? Doesn’t make sense to me.
