Good place to sell a PowerMac G4?

Asked by theloveprophet (347points) April 14th, 2008

I don’t want to sell it on ebay because it will be an extreme hassle to ship it. I also want to get maximum money for it.
How would a pawn shop deal with it?

A pawnshop would give you next to nothing for it.

Shipping isn’t really much of a pain; I used to ship 30–40 computers a week.

Go with Ebay or Craigslist to get the most money out of your Mac.

So shipping it isn’t really that bad huh? I might give it a go if I end up selling it then…

Make sure you try to ship with someone like Fedex or UPS as to make delivery that much smoother. It does cost a little extra, but you don’t have to worry about your mac getting busted up as much as you would if you shipped throught USPS.

True. You get points…

make sure your ad is more “personal’ than just listing the specs, just like in a real store, you still have a product to sell, and often the buyer needs some persuasion.

good luck selling!

Right on. I do have 100% feedback on eBay and I’m a 58 (I sell more than I buy, or so I think… :-). I totally agree with what you said, as that’s how I market everything I sell.
