I’m with uberbatman. Batman was and still is to this day. The old school ninja turtles as well.

My pat. grandfather, who immigrated from Lithuania at age 17 and and spoke 6 languages, none of them English. By hard work (and street smarts) and chutzbah, he eventually founded and then ran a large manufacturing business, retired to a Mcmansion in Miami and left his five sons a very nice cushion for their old age

. He always ate salami and pickles for breakfast and had a shot of schnaaps (brandy) to wash them down. He poured tea into a saucer, put a piece of rock sugar between his teeth and slurped the tea thru the sugar.

ABBA – although they didn’t have traditional superpowers, they were super-swedish and so so pretty, and glitsy, and happy and just cool!

I try not to think too much about what made sense to me as a kid or why…

shockvalue's avatar

@wildflower: It doesn’t need to be a super hero. Just a hero in your eyes.

Pro surfers like Tom curan or Mark Occalupo.

Tony Hawk.

My grandmother was and still is my hero. She had ten children and raised them all on her own. She could do everything. She always had the answer to my problems, and always had a shoulder to cry on if I needed it. She made me biscuits everyday for breakfast. It’s been five years since she passed away, and I miss her still so very much.

I find it sad that this is a hard question for me. And upon further reflection I find it depressing that in my short lived life I have never even had a hero. I think that looking back on my life there is a character whom has greatly influenced my life, but would not consider them a hero. Although not considered a hero, I can only shudder to imagine how I would be today without my brother.

Uh, McGuyver because it was one of the only shows my mom would let me watch.

I had the biggest crush on Richard. I was like “He is so smart and cute!”

I used to kiss the TV at the end credits.

Wow, all you people have super heros that are epic, I guess mines a little lame. Firemen, I thought it would be so cool to jump into buildings on fire. Yea I could have been a screwed up kid to think that.

Hulk because he was normal and then he just grew and grew and got strong. It was different from Superman and Batman who disguised themselves (and Batman was a cheater because he used technology, he didn’t really have superpowers). Or Spiderman whom I found disgusting because I never really liked spiders.

I also imagined Hulk to become far bigger than he really did, perhaps as big as King Kong. I also had dreams as a child that I was Hulk, and when I grew my head reached outer space and my feet became as big as whole continents. Planet Earth was just a small ball I was standing on, and I had to squint to see any buildings.
