diet is 90% of the battle, I am started out in your same boat at 5’4 and 147lbs. I am on a diet plan where 50% of my calories comes from protein, 35% carbs, and 15% fats and I eat approx 1600 calories a day. Also 3 days aweek after your workouts try High Intensity Cardio….where you might jog/walk for 30second and then full out haul ass for 30 secs. When you start you may only be able to keep it up for 7min or so but work your way up to 15 min (no more than that) and fat will shed off you :)

I haven’t tried this myself…

In The Thyroid Diet by Mary J. Shomon, she mentions a supplement called Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) which in studies was shown to reduce storage of fat (specifically abdominal fat) and increase muscle mass.

She adds that not all CLA is created equal and recommends the brand Tonalin. It should be taken with protein (milk for example). She reported a slowdown of the weight loss effect after two months as did many others in her group. A few reported bloating.

If you’re in a bookstore, flip to pp 122–124 or look up the full name in the book’s index.

The author herself suffers from thyroid issues, and she’s probably one of the most active patients/patient advocates in the U.S., but she’s not a physician or anything like that.

Dieting and daily exercise. Once closer to the date, perhaps the inch-loss wrap treatments to tighten up the skin, but those only have a short-term effect, whereas the dieting and exercise will obviously give more lasting results (and now I really should take my own advice…)

Pay attention to the quantity of food you eat, too—eating a variety of healthy food won’t help you lose weight if you’re eating more calories a day than you’re burning.

I eat mostly protein(kabobs),vegetables and fruits,if u saw the website I put up,I eat most of the healthy stuff, meat and veges in small portions,I take omega 3,6,9,a lens multi V,green tea extract, and before working out I take a gram of L-arginine/L-Orithine.that supplimenta to slow the production of fat in the mid section, whats the risk?also I take 45. Minute spin classes 3 times a week and work out on the oliptical for 1 hour straight,I would drink 32ounces of green tea with three bags in it with a little honey.I eat 5–6 times a day,3 meals and 3 snacks,I’m on the ann diet

Add weight training and subtract cardio. You can get cardio benefits if you weight train “circuit” style (i.e. keep moving to keep your heart rate up).

Kevbo (fl) I have friends who swear they couldn’t lose it until they took up jogging. Seriously. Sooper dooper seriously.

You should be able to rid yourself of it in 2.5 months, but you’re going to have to work it. I wish you loads of luck, but even if you can’t get rid of all of it, I’m sure you’ll still be a beautiful, beaming bride.
