Why do you (or should I) care?

Jude's avatar

I like her.

Who is Juliette Lewis?

Jude's avatar

Just watched it. What’s wrong with it?

Austinlad's avatar

I’ll bet she’s just glad to be working.

RareDenver's avatar

@Jude I’m more talking about the roles she is cast in as opposed to her herself

coffeenut's avatar

Lol I don’t remember seeing a movie with her in it….

WasCy's avatar

Probably not even a tenth as much as she is thankful to be cast in the first place.

Jude's avatar

Well, apparently, I read the question wrong. My bad, dude.

Summum's avatar

I think she is a fairly good actress.

SpatzieLover's avatar

So @RareDenver you thought she was portrayed as a skank in this movie???

RareDenver's avatar

@SpatzieLover can’t say as I’ve seen that movie

Jude's avatar

I liked her in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.

I’ll just clear things up, I have nothing against her, used to have a weird crush on her to be honest, it’s just she always seems to be cast in these white trash skanky roles.

plus as this was in the social section I was looking forward to some witty responses

@RareDenver It’s a favorite flick of mine and many people I know. She’s pretty fantastic in it. No, I don’t think she’s cast in skank roles often.

tranquilsea's avatar

I’ve never thought of her as a skank. I think she is a fairly decent actress and her roles are often interesting.

MacBean's avatar

I think if she really minded being cast in the roles she’s cast in, she wouldn’t audition for them or accept them.

Skank, that’s a term i fortunately grew out of, i like Juliette Lewis. She seems like quite a free spirit and more interesting than usual. .

She always plays a weirdo/retard. She does the mentally challenged quite well. I love The Other Sister….that said, I like her. But she does have that look to her! Who cares, I’m sure she realizes it too lol

Jude's avatar

@SpatzieLover Come one now. You were away for awhile and come back with that remark? Enough of that bullshit.

SpatzieLover's avatar

@Jude I was away due to the needs of my special needs kid

Jude's avatar

Name calling is not allowed. Take it to pms, if you have a problem with Deni.

deni's avatar

@SpatzieLover sorry I left out the word MENTALLY. She portrays the MENTALLY RETARDED very well.

SpatzieLover's avatar

@Jude I was not name calling…I was singling out a word @deni used in her statement above. I do not name call

I read the last bit wrong, folks. Lack of sleep is the culprit.

Time for a nap!

She’s been in a lot of roles and she makes the choice if she takes them, so I think she’s just fine with her choices. I loved her in The Other Sister Olive Juice! and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape I’ve also enjoyed her other roles. She’s an indie chick, not mainstream…it’s all good.

Also, it’s better than being cast as waitress number 3 or random person in the crowd!

filmfann's avatar

She was a skank in Strange Days, but not in NBK or Cape Fear.
I like her.

I really don’t know who that is, but would assume she really doesn’t mind if she keep on accepting those types of roles. If she didn’t want to play a skank, she wouldn’t.
