I own a pizza joint. Is there any way to monitor it when I am away? I donot wish to use CCTv as it's very costly...

Well, it depends on your degree of tech-savvy and your available resources in your area. But for real-time monitoring, there really isn’t any substitute unless you are able to do a MacGuyver.

There are several inexpensive (relatively speaking; between $150 and $200) IP cameras that do their own web serving. If you had Internet connectivity in your pizza parlor that would do the trick.

I have to say, though, that if you’re running a business that deals with money you’d probably want a real security system, even for when you’re there.

Is your need for a security system to watch your employees or just everything in general?

I would make the investment in a good, quality-installed surveillance system. If some crime is commited at your business, you surely want the best camera and recording equipment for the use by law enforcement and court.

I would make the investment for peace of mind.
