How to go about screening a potential tenant for my rental property?

Should I charge them an application fee? Should it be non refundable?

I’m in the state of Nevada. Does Nevada tenant laws require me to put the security deposit in an interest bearing account? I’m probably required to pay the tenant interest on their deposit, right?

Can I type up the lease agreement contract in Word? Is a lawyer required?
