Humour/satire in Oryx and Crake?

Hi :)

I’m reading Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood for English, and apparently there’s supposed to be a whole lot of humour and satire, but I can’t find any. Am I missing something? Could you help point me in the right direction?

(Maybe part of the issue is that I’m not entirely sure what satire is.)
