Where do you order your t-shirts from?

Where do you frequent? I’m a big fan of Threadless, among others.

Threadless (http://www.threadless.com/) got loads from them. The designs are awesome, the prices are low and the shirts are good quality.

Threadless – I love Threadless.
American Apparel – there is a store in SF though.

For the record, it seems, I edited my question at the same time The_Englishman suggested Threadless. Haha :) & I love American Apparel. I’m just wondering if anyone knows of anywhere less well known?

richardhenry: What are some of the “other” places you speak of? I’m interested/curious..

@richardhenry: lol, oh well!

order?? I couldn’t buy one without trying on at least 10 different ones in 3 different shops first!
....guess this is more of a bloke’s Q ;)

Allie's avatar

Heyyyy.. I’m a girl, not a bloke.

Allow
hence you’re asking for more than the one source ;)

@wildflower: I guess I know what you mean, but I’m generally pretty good at imagining what would look good on me. Although I do have a small stack of stuff in the back of my drawer that I ordered and then realised looked awful :). My main reason for ordering is that I quite like the odd printed shirt—although most of my stuff is MUJI style—and the problem with print shirts is that you often see people walking around wearing the same stuff as you if you bought it locally, which I don’t like.

@Allie: It’s really only Threadless and American Apparel that immediately spring to mind, but I can occasionally find something cool on crappy websites like Truffle Shuffle.

I was also sad enough to order the Transmit Truck shirt from the Panic Goods Store (scroll to the bottom). :D

Allie's avatar

wildflower: Haha.. that’s true. But I am also genuinely interested in shopping around for the designs and prints. =]

@Fallstand: I’ve never actually thought to check it out. I really should, thanks.

richardhenry: I kind of like the balloon one. It’s cute.

for really unique shirts, make yer own. I do at times. A decent printer and photoshop can go a long way :)

I love making my own shirts!!!
I like stencils and paints.

I have found some stuff via this blog.

richardhenry's avatar

@wildflower: Have done :). I have a shirt for a film project I’m working on with a friend, and have had a go with a few others in the past. I made a Threadless submission once, but it wasn’t as good as it could have been and pretty unimaginative. (http://www.threadless.com/submission/143892/Love_Gun)

@johnpowell: Very nice find indeed.
