How many times posting something on your Facebook Fanbase is considered to be too much? Let's say a day?

Asked by Fashionfreax (11points) March 31st, 2011

Is posting too much a reason for you to not follow a fanbase anymore?

Yes, it is. I will hide posts from people who post too much. I consider once a day plenty for most of the time.

The limit is four or five for me. After that it gets ridiculous.

I’m in the “once is enough” camp unless it is your wedding day.

Thanks, I think that you are more referring it to your personal profile, I was referrig to a companies fanpage, you know?

@Fashionfreax Oh, you said fanbase in the title and description. For fanpages, I don’t like to see more than 2 or 3 a day.

I’ve just unliked all of my pages because of this. So in my case once a day is even too much.

ok, thank you very much for your information!

Slightly off topic, but how do you block those damn Farmville/city/shit postings from people? They say something like this:

“Published by: http://www.facebook.com/LatestFV – to subscribe/unsubscribe http://farmvillelatest.com/auto-publishing.php"

There’s no way to just block them without blocking your friend completely.

What I do is that I hide them, go to their post and there are several options ;)

You can block all notices about an individual game by clicking on the link somewhere. I don’t remember exactly where but it is possible.

@janbb There is an “X” in the upper-right corner of each post. Click that and there are a few options for ya.

@erichw1504 Glad you found it; knew I’ve done it and not been bothered by that stuff any more.

I don’t want to hear from a company more than once a week. If they don’t have anything particularly intresting to say, I don’t want to hear from them that often. The only exception to this is Sophos.
