Is anyone familiar with the Mexican bus system?

Specifically, I’m going from Mexico City to Oaxaca tomorrow, as a young foreign female traveling alone. My main concern is safety, and I’m wondering the difference between the Ado first class and the Ado Gran Luxe. Any experiences or info?

The actual bus travel should be pretty safe, I’d be more concerned about the time you’re off the bus. Keep a low profile.

I haven’t traveled on Ado, but in my experience, the difference betweeen categories has always been worth the extra pesos.
