Do you use facebook for social reasons, business purposes, or both?

Lately I’ve been following more and more pages devoted to small businesses, and I’m wondering how effective they are. I have a lot of facebook friends already, so should I incorporate my business aspects into that page, or start a separate one where I would have to build friends and followers from scratch?
