What would you make your famine topic?

You could go without technology completely? Though that would be hard if you had an electric oven. How about personal communication and entertainment technology, so computer, phone, TV etc, but then you could still cook on the stove and microwave.

You could take a vow of silence and go without talking.

Go without spending any money…

Go without wearing warm clothes to see how people who don’t have any feel.

Go without make-up if you usually wear a lot.

Elaborate for us who do not understand what it’s about?

@seazen_ I think she’s talking about this. The idea is to get people to sponsor you for fasting for 40 hours, and then you donate the money to the hungry. These events happen all over the world, but most people do it for 30 hours. I did it a couple times with my youth group in middle school, and we used the money to sponsor a couple of children. It was a lot of fun, and it felt amazing to be doing something so much bigger than ourselves at such a young age.

I like @shrubbery‘s idea of not buying anything for a few days. Adbusters promotes an annual Buy Nothing Day and it might be cool to extend that for a few days.
