I accidently set firefox to automatically open music files with vlc player?

But the files will not play on VLC. Can someone tell me how I can change this setting so I can choose which program opens the file?

I clicked on the box “always do this with these types of files” and I want to know how to undo it. Thank you

At least on a Mac.

Firefox—> Preferences—> Applications

Windows should be similar.

On my version of Firefox (3.6.16 / linux) it’s Edit -> Preferences -> Applications.
There are a lot of different types of music files listed there, hopefully you remember which type you told it to always open with VLC.
