When I was only 16, I dreamt of opening my own kennel because of my love of dogs. I also wanted to be a vet. Those goals changed because both careers are very time consuming, and I wouldn’t have been able to give my family the time they needed. So I ran a mobile dog grooming service for a while instead.

Now I am in medical administration, and I will stick with it. It suits my best of all.

I don’t think anyone ever really dreams of becoming a software developer, but hey, here I am. It’s a shame that astronaut and ninja turtle didn’t work out as professions…

Don’t laugh.. Seriously don’t. I always wanted to be an accountant. So I graduated high school and was poor. College had to wait for a few years. When I finally got to college and took an accounting class I discovered it was almost the most depressing thing possible. I got a degree in economics instead.

And I don’t use my degree for what I do now.

I can honestly say I’ve never heard of anyone who dreamt of being an accountant before….you’re original – that’s cool :)
I was heading for economics once…...then decided to move.

I’ve dreamt of becoming a pediatric oncologist since I was 7, & 9 years later, I’m well on my way to pursuing that goal.

I dreamed of working for Disney when I was little. But then I went and did it in a summer college internship and decided it was too much heat and overstimulation for too little pay. I’m now working for myself and enjoying my college town environs. Dreams evolve. But I still respect the hell out of those imagineers.

To be a Disney Animator. I got accepted into the Disney internship program but decided against it because I didn’t want to move to southern CA.

For me it was a toss up between Marlin Perkins Mutual of Ohamas Wild Kingdom-zoologist and a garbage collector….now I am a Firefighter.

I wanted to be loved. Because I pretty much wasn’t.
Then I found out you’re not supposed to have that ambition, so I quickly started saying
I wanted to be an important artist. I worked at becoming a better artist while continuing to wish I was loved.
When I started getting loved, I didn’t know what it was. (But now I do.)
I am not an important artist.

@ gooch Marlin Perkins rules. “while jim shoves his hand up a bull moose I’ll sit here and collect the neccessary data” used to be one of the favorite jokes at our house but that guy was amazing.

I want to be on Saturday Night Live. I believe that it isn’t a matter of if more me, but a matter of when.
