Can you dream of someone by smelling their scent on their clothing and thinking of them before going to sleep?

Asked by Vincent_Lloyd (3007points) May 11th, 2011

Is it possible? Or is that something that won’t happen? I have my girlfriends shirt and I love her scent but I want to dream of her so…If you smell the clothing of another and think of him/her before you go to bed, is it more likely you’ll dream of this person?

If your girlfriend/boyfriend is on your mind and you have their scent on you. Sometimes when I have things on my mind you will dream about what’s on your mind.

I’m not sure. If I could smell someone’s scent and then dream about them, I’d be a happy person. HAHA! I think dreams have to do with what’s floating around in your subconscience. I could be wrong though.

Pre-suggestion can help to put a person or thing or concept into your dreams. And remembered scents are powerful thoughts.
Self-hypnosis type techniques with a scripted meditation that has a simple clear intention can be effective especially and practice definitely helps. Write a script and make a recording or yourself reading it. Play it while falling asleep.

It can help. It depends on what else is going on in your subconscious.

I am sure it is possible, but certainly not guaranteed.

I you smell some ones scent it may or may not be possible that the person will come in your dream. But that’s for sure that you will have a merry heart and a sound sleep.
