What do you know about Hofstra University?

I applied there and I really liked the curriculum they have for my major. I have not visited the school yet, as I live on the opposite coast, but I will be visiting the schools I am accepted to over the summer. I am a bit worried because their retention rate is not as high as the other schools I applied to. So, have any of you been there, attended or know someone who did? If so, what did you (or the other person you know) think of it? I know that visiting will be the last determining factor, but I just want some background info on it first. Thank you all!
