Have you a petty revenge to settle?

Asked by mazingerz88 (28814points) May 18th, 2011

Maybe something that happened in kindergarten, high-school or college, you were wronged and the score has not been settled yet but could be looming closer to fulfillment or maybe still so far from happening.

A love one was stolen, a candy or innocence, a lie told that ruined you, a pride pulverizing hurtful and mean joke? Did you have something to remember it by by tatooing it in your skin or in your brain, only to be removed, extracted once your petty revenge is exacted with impunity? : ) Please share whether you are still waiting to do it or have already done it. What’s the story?

No. If it is petty, by my definition it is not worth the effort.

No…in my book, revenge is best never served. Plotting, planning and even buying high powered rifles though is great therapy.

I already got revenge against my ex-wife. It felt great, too. I don’t regret it at all.

The petty things are simply, by definition, too small to sweat over.
However, I am still working on enlarging my kidney capacity, so that when my ex-boss dies, I can take a nice, long piss on his grave, if the line isn’t too long.

Nope! Nothing petty comes to mind. There is only one major issue that happened long ago that I occasionally think about, but I mentally built that bridge and got over it years ago. In fact, I’m back in touch with three out of four of the offenders (the other is MIA). I guess it could be said that we’ve all grown up and accept each other for who we are today.

No, I am neither petty nor vengeful. And life is too short and peace of mind, love and contentment too precious and too hard to find sometimes to waste my time and my emotional and psychological energy on that kind of crap, IMHO.

Nothing petty. Something deep, something hurtful to faith, pride and reputation? Oh yeah. It’s coming.

Revenge is something that can create ulcers and wrinkles and the only one to blame is you.. Get over it is my philosophy.. Move on to more interesting life experiences and leave past problems behind.

I’ve definitely got one and that’s not a petty revenge. “revenge is a dish best served cold”....

I haven’t, but that’s cuz I’m lazy.

Me and a friend started up the “And we shall dance on his grave,” club on a guy in our year when we were at school – I’m treasurer.
