What software best works with Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch?

Asked by BonusQuestion (1483points) May 25th, 2011

I have recently bought a Bamboo Pen & Touch but can’t figure out which software to use as there are tons of softwares out there. I need a software which has at least capable of these two:

1) I can upload a pdf file and make some notes on that.
2) It can be easily used for writing math formulas and drawing some basic pictures.

I don’t necessarily need a “smart” software that turns my handwritten math formulas into typed formulas.

Any suggestions?

As a program that supports pdf files I can only think of Photoshop.
For basic drawing, Wacom has a free paint program called “Sumo Paint”.
I also liked Project Dogwaffle. You can also try Manga Studio 4.

@ragingloli Thank you. Wacom does come with a Adobe Photoshop Element but I can’t figure out how to edit pdf files with that. Should it be possible?

When I want to create pdf files (with ms word), I use FreePDF. It is basically a virtual printer that writes pdf files to disk. It should show up under available printers in the program’s print menu.

@ragingloli I was talking about editing pdf files with Photoshop and leaving some notes in a pdf file with Photoshop. Is that possible?
