Can I use my Paypal balance to pay for ebay items?

Asked by BBSDTfamily (6839points) June 1st, 2011

I sold items on Ebay and have a balance on my Paypal account from the money I received. Now I’ve bought an item and have an invoice on Paypal and am trying to figure out if I can use my existing balance to pay for the invoice? I have $85 earned and want to pay a $25 invoice. I don’t see the option for paying it that way, but I would just assume that I could.

Paypal will use that balance automatically before it goes to your bank account or credit card.

I think the seller has to make it an option. eBay owns PayPal, so they make it the default and most auctions allow it.

So I would take a second look and if it’s really not there I would send a note via eBay to the seller and ask.

Thanks! It did end up being the default! I appreciate the help :)
