Is there a breast size that women generally regard as "just right"?

Asked by josie (30934points) June 3rd, 2011

I have known a couple of girls that had surgery to make their boobs smaller. I have also known more than a couple of girls who had surgery to make their boobs bigger.

This indicates to me that there must be some standard, objective or subjective, that represents a breast size that is generally regarded as “just right”.

Sort of like that fairy tale about the three bears-This porridge is too hot, this porridge is too cold, this porridge is just right!

Is there a size that is regarded as “just right”?

If they fit perfectly into my hands, they’re big enough for me.

I have to agree with @marinelife. 36C isn’t so large that you’d have back pain or trouble finding a nicely-fitting bra, or running. It’s not so small that you’d feel the desire to have larger breasts, either.

Just a guess – I can’t speak for other ladies, of course.

ANef_is_Enuf's avatar

I’ll say 36C, also.

The wife is perfectly happy with hers, I believe her size is…..“ooh, dey so firm & pert!”

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

For some people there is.
As for myself,I am happy where I’m at.;)

I am happy with my girls, too. And, they’re not bigguns’.

Does the word “perky” fit this question?

I know a woman that is 5 ft. tall and has breasts that hang down to her knees.

Needless to say, she is miserable. This is not a perfect size for her.

Facade's avatar

I hope not. That’d be very silly.

I would have never guessed it to be a 36anything…

I like the nipples. I don’t care what they are attached to. Put a nipple on a dick and I will play with it.

I’m going to take my 36B’s and go cry now.

just kiddin’ :D

Facade's avatar

@jonsblond At least you don’t have to buy $60 and $80 bras! Yay for normal boobies =)

Whatever noelle’s size is.

More than a handful is a waste and IMO I am not a fan of augmentation for other than medical reasons.

Mine are just right for me.
In my adulthood, I have been everything from a perky 36 C to a 38 DD (now).
Sometimes they get in the way, but they are healthy and mine and I’m happy with them.

AmWiser's avatar

As long as they are healthy, I’m happy. I believe in living with what I was given.

The answer to this depends on the woman, her breast size, and her lifelong relationship/experiences with what God gave her. The ones with bigger boobs deal with annoyances and pain and wish they were smaller, usually. The ones with smaller boobs wish they had cleavage and could fill out a bra nicely*. Not always, but often, it’s a case of the grass being greener on the other side and whatnot.

Aesthetically, to look at, I’d say C is about my limit in terms of ‘ideal’. Anything more is too big. My own size varies depending on my weight.. when I’m thinner, I’m a C. When I’m heavier, my C cups runneth over, but I’m not quite a D. Either way, I would not be opposed to swapping them out for a smaller set.

.

* Their words, not mine. I am a huge B cup fan!

< a B (and perky).

@john65pennington said I know a woman that is 5 ft. tall and has breasts that hang down to her knees.

Umm that sounds downright painful. I think I’d try to have something done about those.

Adirondackwannabe's avatar

I would have guessed it would be smaller, 32 to 34B maybe. It seems like the women with larger breast have more “difficulties”, for lack of a better term, because they get in the way.

Too big and they start to be uncomfortable. I’d love to be a 34C again.

Facade's avatar

Coincidentally, the bras I ordered just arrived…32F.

@zen I knew that you would.

wundayatta's avatar

I wish I knew what the sized meant. A, B, C, D, E, F—any real world analogies to indicate the size of these sizes? Also, when you triple or quadruple a size, what does that mean?

MyNewtBoobs's avatar

@wundayatta Some famous A cups – Debra Messing, Keira Knightly, Natalie Portman, Claire Danes, the Olsen twins, Grace Kelly (although, many of them fluctuate and/or are an A/B)
Some famous B cups – Julie Andrews, Lauren Bacall, Cindy Crawford, Barbra Eden, Farah Fawcett, Katherine Hepburn, Heather Locklear, Julia Roberts
Famous C cups – Tara Reid, Mandy Moore, Denise Richards, Claudia Schiffer, Brittany Spears, Angelina Jolie, Liv Tyler, Mariska Hargitay, Lana Turner
Famous D cups – Jane Russell, Jayne Mansfield, Jeri Ryan

Hers – her over there, her with the perfect breast size. I’ll have those.

I am more than happy keeping my 36DD’s just the way they are

Neizvestnaya's avatar

Department stores will tell you the most sold size is 34C but women who augment want 36C cup size breasts, or bigger. Of the women I’ve know to surgically reduce, they chose full C cups of their bust range.

_zen_'s avatar

Cups, cups, I love cups.

shariw's avatar

From flat to watermelons. You should always be grateful for what God gave you and know that any guy who is blind to your inner beauty and sensuality is a guy who isn’t worth getting serious about. End of story!

creative1's avatar

@shariw I agree with you there!!!!

Ron_C's avatar

I’m not sure what women think but for me, anything more than a mouthful is wasted.

auntydeb's avatar

Actually, I have it on authority that ‘more than a handful is too much’; so am quite happy as my Husband has large hands.

AnonymousWoman's avatar

That depends on the woman. The guys I’ve been physically sexual with have all complimented mine and I feel confident about my breasts because of this. To me, they are just right. I usually wear size 36C bras, if that matters. I’m sure other breast sizes can be just fine, too.

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

Any size it the “right size” so long as they are all natural and she can pass the pencil test.
