Is it possible to crimp a wig without destroying it?

Long story short, I want to dress up as Luna Lovegood for the premiere of the last Harry Potter movie. I have found a few long, platinum blonde wigs online but I want to have similar, wavy hair to Luna. Most of the wigs I’ve found have straight hair. Is it possible to crimp a wig without destroying it?
