Have you seen the movie Hereafter with Matt Damon?

Asked by marinelife (62485points) June 10th, 2011

I just finished watching it. What a wonderful score. What a great film. I was shocked when it was over. I wasn’t done with the story yet.

What did you think of it?

Really? It’s one of the few movies that I just didn’t want to keep watching. The first 45min. were good, but I lost all interest along the way. I usually like Clint Eastwood films, too.

I haven’t seen it but I will check it out @marinelife. Thanks for the movie tip.

I think Matt Damon is, without a doubt, one of the best modern day actors. This is on my “to see” list. Thanks.

I didn’t like it either. I agree that Damon can’t go wrong, but I was kind of bored. I thought the three stories didn’t go well together, and it would have been better if just one of them made up the entire movie. Preferably the English boy. Damon’s character still could have come in. I think it tried to do too much.

Hmm, I guess I’m not surprised that some people didn’t like it. I saw it’s score on Rotten Tomatoes, but the acting was first rate and the directing was wonderful. There was not a single wasted shot in the entire film.

I found the plot riveting.

I didn’t think I’d like, I even avoided it and dismissed it as probable fluff but when I broke down and watched it one night then I really liked it, enough to share it with my fiancee the next morning and he really liked it too. The ending was perfect in my opinion, a calm for the subjects, maybe a reward of predictability after so much chaos.

I saw it in theatres, typical Clint Eastwood: AWESOME!

It was a great movie! Not one of his better films, but still highly enjoyable to me.
