How do I use a Cuisinart 13-cup food processor?

Asked by jetblondie (147points) June 17th, 2011

I borrowed my friend’s food processor and just want to be sure I don’t do something stupid and break it. I am the proverbial bull in the china shop when I’m in the kitchen. It looks pretty self-explanatory but that’s what I said about her juicer (I forgot to put the blade in and a giant mess ensued…).

What are you making with it?

Then blade in the bottom, chickpeas and ingredients in the bowl, cover on tightly and pulse and then blend it. You should have no problem.

I am not familiar with this machine, but when you put it together, and before you actually put your recipe together and turn it on, try plain water. If it leaks, you’re just cleaning up water.

Have you thought about reading the manual?

@janbb Thank you :) It looks like you’re not allowed to even use censored curse-words here at Fluther since they’ve deleted my I-darn-near-cut-my-finger-off Rant. Oopsy! But I am keeping with the ibuprofen, neosporin, peroxide, and waterproof bandaids, thanks for your concern. The hummus came out really amazing, by the way. Thanks again for your help :)
