How can I put my last name and page number on the top right corner of each page?

Go to View> Header and Footer. A little toolbar will pop up, with things like “Insert Autotext” and an icon of a page with the pound sign on it (#). Align the header text to the right, type in your last name plus a space, then hit the page/# icon I mentioned. Format font (size, type), click on the regular body text to exit from the header/footer, and you’re done.

If you are using Microsoft Word then use a Header.
