What do you think of a woman using her wiles for free travel?

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) July 1st, 2011

You have ”Sasha” a young 20somthing, long wavy hair, sexy legs, hourglass figure, and 34C? She chooses many tops and tees from the med girl’s rack that fit her like a sm. or ex small and shows off all her curves. She also leaves the bra in mothballs, and wears the shorted Daisy Dukes, booty shorts, minis, and mini dresses.

While traveling Europe on a very paltry budget she would go to a local café or coffee house and find some handsome man aloe with no woman, and she would chat them up, if she discovered they were going where she wanted to go, or 85% of the way there, for example, from Italy to Austria. She would touch their shoulder, lightly play with their ear and hair and position herself so they can have plenty of opportunity to see her assets and see if she can charm them into a free ride. If they were a stickler about money she would imply she would rock their world between the sheet wise, and was taken up on the offer often, in lieu of gas money.

Now that she has made it over many parts of Europe using her wiles, she figures she could try the technique to see a lot of Asia or Australia. Do you think her success will be as good, better, or worse in any of those places?

Might be more dangerous in Asia depending on how careful she is. Also there’s not much of a cross-continent travel culture in Asia the same way it is in Europe. So less succesful is my guess. Australia equally succesful

It’s not ethical, it may not be sensible, but if all concerned are consenting adults and it gets here where she wants to be… Australians may not be so easily won over, they are pretty straight over that way; As for Asia, that’s just daft. It may be more sad that she is successful!

We gotta hang out sometime, Hypo.

She’d do just fine in New Zealand & Wales if she were dressed as a sheep.
Ewe better believe it!

@auntydeb : Why do you feel that it’s not ethical? Honestly, just curious, not being confrontational, here. It may be a bit distasteful, but in @Hypocrisy_Central‘s example there is no coercion, and the promise of sexual favors is only implied.

I’m a man. If I had “wiles”, I’d use them to get free cookies.
and comics, and dinner, and…

I’ve got no problem with the ethics, but that’s not a safe way to travel. If I were traveling alone, I would try to draw less attention to my “wiles,” not more.

I think there are a lot of cheaper prostitutes to compete with in many parts of Asia. Maybe she has better merchandise though.

@nikipedia Another thing to consider is the novelty factor of a non-Asian woman.

@FutureMemory That was a thought I had, in Asia she might be seen as exotic.

She would probably do well in Australia but will find herself as a “white slave” if she tries that stuff in Asia. I’d give her 15 minutes in Bangkok before she is in shackles.

If she’s a white woman, she might have some luck in Australia, but if she tried that in Asia, she’d probably get picked up by some shady Japanese or Chinese guy wanting to use her in a sex-ring to pleasure horny businessmen, or made into a sex slave for some kinky porn movie in Thailand. In certain areas, Asia is a dangerous place for a non-Asian women travelling alone. Japan’s has a strange dichotomy——for the majority of Japanese women, public places are by and far very safe for them, and rape and other sexual crimes are not common like it is in the West. But if you were a white woman in Japan, you might get harassed by stupid Japanese guys desiring the “novelty” of a foreigner. Their mindset is that “We would never harm our own, but foreigners or “Gaijin”, they’re fair game travelling alone in our country!” Their racist ethnocentricity makes my stomach turn. Not all are like that, but some are.
