I believe that you just click on the person's name and it will get you to his or her private site, where you can ask your question.

To clarify, the idea of Fluther is you just ask your question (with good topics), and we take care of sending it to the "right people" (who know about it). As skfinkel described, you can ask personal or private follow-up questions to specific users, but that's not the the general way to do it.
