[NSFW!] How does one explain Bree Olson and her desire to be in the adult industry of entertainment?

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) July 22nd, 2011

[NSFW!!] There is always talk, that no woman really enters porn, being a stripper, or a prostitute, unless somehow they were damaged by sexual assault as children, have a drug problems or both. No respectable woman with a high level of esteem for her self would ever chose such professions or way to make money with a clear head and mind. Bree Olson said she wanted to be in porn since she was little. She was actually a college student at one time. Just because a woman chooses to earn a living taking off her clothes on a pole or having sex in front of a camera, does that make her less able to care for children? Everyone has sex, is it just the type of sex strippers and porn stars have or how they do it that makes it so repugnant to people? If this is the age of “Girl Power”, why would they be maligned in the least for their choice to earn money that way, as long as they strippers, and porn stars, not prostitutes are not breaking any laws? I’d rather see her sisters taking that career up. ~

A mixture of curiosity, sense of adventure, practicality, nonchalance, rebellion, showmanship, notoriety, laziness, desperation and sluttiness…

If she wants to do it, fine. I guess that she’s and exhibitionist that likes sex. If she can get paid for it great. There was someone that said “if you can make a career out of something you like, you never have to work a day in your life”.

I don’t know who she is but if she want to do something and it doesn’t cost ME money, it’s fine with me.

Just kinda wondering why this showed up in my “questions for you” category, 12 hours after it was posted…or at all for that matter.

@JilltheTooth I was thinking the same thing.

@JilltheTooth probably in editing?

I knew a guy who was a prostitute for a while, he’s educated, successful, good looking and didn’t have trouble finding relationships. As far as I know there’s no red flags in his past.

He said it was exciting, he got to try new things, make some extra cash, and he enjoyed it.

He didn’t earn near the kind of cash that I would imagine female stars can make. Honestly it doesn’t seem like a horrible way to set yourself up for life if you can keep your head straight.

Guys aren’t the only ones who will fuck anyone they can (some of them, anyway). And if you can get paid for it and you enjoy it—it’s even better.

As to psychological issues—who knows?

Wow! 21st century: nobody really likes anyone anymore

What happens when she hits forty and no-one wants to see her nekked anymore?

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

@Ron_C I don’t know who she is but if she want to do something and it doesn’t cost ME money, it’s fine with me. She was on of Charlie Sheen’s ”Goddesses”.

@atlantis What happens when she hits forty and no-one wants to see her nekked anymore? If she was smart she would have socked some of that cash away or invested it in storage facilities, or the right real estate and cruise to the grave.

Someone in my family used to be Brooke’s roommate when she was doing her blog, but didn’t know until 2 days before a disgruntled ex-boyfriend outed her. I hear she’s funny, well-adjusted, completely healthy and sane… just wanted to finance her very expensive education.

@Hypocrisy_Central I didn’t know that Charle Sheen had godesses. I didn’t even know he was religious.

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

You didn’t know he was the high prist of Sheento Be High, not to be confuse with Bahá’í, the religion where injestion of high amounts of chemicals from Asia brings enlightenment?

Ron_C's avatar

@Hypocrisy_Central nope; didn’t know that either. I guess that I am not up on celebrity religion or religious cults. I’ll just have to brush up on those subjects in between my trips to the porn sites.

Hypocrisy_Central's avatar

@Ron_C Porn sites? then you might have come across one of Bree’s <ahem> end game videos or one showing how loose her tonsils are…. LOL LOL

Ron_C's avatar

@Hypocrisy_Central I’m old and tend to fall asleep during porn videos (been there, done that, seen that syndrome) If I saw her I certainly wouldn’t remember her name.

No “respectable” woman would….and again, not a single word about the men that create the demand. (This is an old thread. I get it.)
