Is there any way to (cheaply) photograph negatives from a tri-x-pan negative?

Asked by NightStalker (459points) August 1st, 2011

While going through an attic I found some amazing negatives from a tri-x-pan camera.

I can reverse the negative in Photoshop but am unsure how to capture it on a digital camera.

Any suggestions?

I took this picture of an X-ray of my broken toe with my digital camera by pulling up a blank screen, a plain white screen on my 24” iMac, I think it may have been a blank word processing document , I don’t remember, and then laying the xray on top of the monitor/screen. It’s not perfect but it is cheap and easy. You do need a monitor big enough to accomodate the size of the X-ray.

You can take the neg to Walgreens (assuming you’re in the US) and digitize it there, then take the file home and manipulate it.
