Why are blue eyes so beautiful?

It’s a personal preference. There are different shades of blue like there are different shades of green and brown and the ones that are deeper or more vivid are the most striking. Maybe these brilliant colored eyes are somewhat rare so they are viewed as more so.

I tend to favor hazel eyes myself.. One day blue, another day green and even gray in accordance of what your wearing. (blue is good too).

I think all eyes are beautiful. I was just thinking about that the other day, actually. It feels to me like all eyes have a beautiful, magnetic quality about them. The eyes seem incredibly important in so many ways, it only makes sense that they should be beautiful to look at. I imagine it would be challenging to go through life if there were circumstances that caused you to have an altered appearance or damage to the eyes. I think of my good friend, who happens to have schizophrenia. It’s well managed, but his biggest insecurity is that he feels like he has an empty, emotionless look in his eyes.. and he thinks that it puts people off. It really made me think about how having healthy, vibrant eyes is probably not appreciate nearly enough.

I tend to agree with Van Morrison. ‘Brown Eyed Girls’ are where it is at.

I seem to be drawn to sky blue colors in general, because I’m so fascinated by the atmosphere. When I talk to a blue eyed person, I’m also reminded of the sky and get a little distracted when I talk to them lol.

My apologies to all that do not have blue eyes, including my SO. There is something attractive about it in my book. A friend once said, “Dark hair and blue eyes are the sign of royalty.” Maybe that illusion stuck. Despite that, it is an alluring combination.

It’s just a matter of opinion. Eyes have no color when I’m looking into the soul of the person.

I think light eyes rivet your attention. Blue, green or grey, they really draw you in and make you feel like that person is focused on you.

No disrespect to dark-eyed people like Jessica Alba and George Clooney. There are countless things we find attractive. Everyone has their best features.

Given that most babies are born with blue eyes, maybe our appreciation of blue eyes is an adaptation… we perceive them as precious, so keep them safe.

Probably because we grow up seeing images of blue-eyed princes and princesses in fairy tales and on t.v. and in the movies, and when we’re adults some of us still think that’s the standard of beauty. I like blue eyes, but I also like green eyes and light brown (hazel) eyes.

I think it probably has to do with the fact that most people love the color blue. I love rare color eyes.
Met a guy once with eyes so dark blue and large that they looked like pools of water.
Met a girl once who had a rare color that looked like violet. I don’t remember what country she was from (exchange student) but she thought the fact that she could barely see my pupils made my eyes attractive. She said her color eyes was common in her country.
Also love very light brown eyes that are almost a caramel color or hazel eyes that have yellow highlights.
I can’t say I have a favorite.

The color of the eyes, themselves is not what makes them so beautiful. I have fallen for guys that have had every different color of eyes.
