Can canola oil or olive oil be used in a recipe for cupcakes?

have recipe that calls for ⅔ cup oil, egg, etc. etc. Have Canola and Olive oil, can I use either of them?

Use the canola.

Canola should be totally fine. Olive oil may affect the taste slightly, but I’m not totally sure on that with baking.

Nix on the olive oil.

Canola is 10–4.

Canola yes. Olive oil has a strong flavor that would not go well with sweets.

Olive oil will make it taste funny. Canola oil is what you want.

for baking purposes, yes. The taste will be different, but not the cooking quality.

Leave the olive. Take the canola.
