Anyone have experience with sleeping tablets (stilnoct)?

Asked by stardust (10544points) August 23rd, 2011

I’ve used them before so know what to expect, i.e. stay in bed and keep away from the phone, etc.
Low and behold, I wake up to find I sent less than a handful of nonsensical text messages. I’m prone to making sense for the most part (at least I’d like to think so) so I’d imagine it was confusing for the person I was conversing with.
I’ll have to explain my “out of character” behaviour today.
Has anyone had any weird experiences on this kind of medication? Humourous or otherwise?

I’ve been using sleeping pills for quite a while now. I suffer from chronic insomnia! No matter what, I always find trouble sleeping at night. Nevertheless, about (Stilnoct) I did hear some weird stuff about this tablet and I wasn’t so sure until i came across your question! Did some research about it and I think it describes what happened to you?

” There have been reports of people doing things while they are asleep after taking this medicine that they do not remember when they wake up. These include sleepwalking, sleep driving, making phone calls and preparing and eating food. These events may be more likely if you drink alcohol, or take other medicines with sedative effects (see end of factsheet) in combination with this medicine. If you think this could be happening to you, you should let your doctor know. ” –

Hope you sleep tight next time!

I’ve never heard of Stilnoct, but your story sounds very similar to my story when I took ambien. I was sleep eating, sleep Facebooking,. sleep having sex, sleep walking, and sleep Fluthering!!!!
