Considering switching carriers soon. I would love to use my current phone Nokia 3595 and port my number but that’s not an option with Straight Talk. Porting- yes, old phone- no.

I think your link is broken.

I haven’t had any specific experience with that phone there, but my brother did have a phone nearly identical to that one that broke after 3 months of use. That was only really a problem because he had a 2 year contract, so I’d say if you’re not tied into only getting a new phone every 2 years go for it.

I read a few reviews on different sites and a lot of complaints of it shutting off without warning, but then again some of those reviews were old enough for the company to work out the bugs? I don’t really need all those features on a phone but if I have to change phones anyway why not?

Samsung is really bad about providing updates for phones once they get your money.

Well it’s about 80 bucks which, for a phone isn’t too awful expensive but I would get it if the thing works as advertised. My son keeps poo- pooing my old phone because it’s just that, a phone. He has a smart phone with GPS, web , and all kinds of gimmicks. That is pretty cool but I don’t want to go that far. The days of the bullet proof slab phones are gone I’m afraid but I’m leary of getting a flip style because I know myself too well.
