Have you ever duckfaced?

It’s making a pouty/kissy face for photos, like this or this. Do people think that doing this somehow makes them more attractive? I think it’s heinous.

It’s extremely heinous. I’ve only made the face trying to make a child laugh.
Oh fuck it to hell. Man, I completely champion anything anyone wants to do as long as it isn’t something like raping babies.
But I, for the life of me, cannot fucking stand the kissy face photo. I hate it. I don’t know why. It’s ugly and stupid looking. It’s harmless, and many people love it obviously, but I simply cannot subscribe. That, and fuckin caramelldansen.
To all their own yes, a million times yes, but I, in turn, have the right to say I find this duckface thing retarded.
Some people think that’s attractive, but I sure don’t. I only ever make that face when I have extreme diarrhea, or when I’m hopelessly trying to suck up beer spilling out of my mug due to pouring it in too fast.
Not me or any of the girlfriends of my generation. I always thought it was something picked up by young girls of 90’s and on to mimic “porn glamour”. It pretty silly looking for both men and women. If anyone ever did that in the company of my friends, we’d probably all stop talking and look at them to ask wtf is wrong with your face!?
I don’t even count those as duckface. This is duckface. It’s less about making a kissyface, and more about like folding your upper lip towards your nose. I don’t get it.
eta: AHA! this is exactly what I think of when I hear “duckface.” I just don’t understand.

I do it every day, only it’s called “gooseface” over here. I have to pucker when I kiss my geese because they don’t have lips. hahaha
Seriously..I had a friend that always did that in all of her photos, I always thought she looked staged and stupid, phoney, trying too hard. haha
I think this girl has bigger eyes than I do. Holy moly.
Never. I have a great set of teeth, and I want to show it to the world when I smile! Lol.
I think people think it’s sexy, a la Angelina Jolie.
Come to think of it, I think I’ve seen a few of my friends when absolutely trashed doing the duckface while dancing. I think it helped them concentrate on the depth of their getdowniness :)

That’s so silly looking. No, and I got big lips anyways. hahaha
Thanks for giving a name to this phenomenon! I have noticed it in FB posts from friends between the ages of about 13–25 and had no idea what they were doing (still don’t understand why). I have never done it and I think it would look odd with grey hair and glasses but might have to try a phone photo that I quickly erase.
That’s people who have no clue on how to have their picture taken. Or… they don’t know how to smile.
The pic I find most ridiculous is the one with the dark haired girl with AND flashing a faux gang sign. That’s too much for words. Ha ha.
@DominicX My SIL has lost over 60lbs this past year and is always posting pics of herself on Facebook because she is proud of her accomplishment (and should be). Many of the pics are of her with duckface. she really thinks it’s attractive :/
I haven’t… not even while drunk. And, when I was cheerleading coach, I banned it from the floor. Some cheerleaders would do it to their crushes or mid-dance and I would go groaaaan…...
Attractive? Not necessarily but I see nothing wrong or disgusting with it, I personally wouldn’t do it but if I saw it as heinous then I’d just turn away..
It’s still better than doing this or this I still don’t get the allure. (anyone care to explain? XD) Duckfacing is much more attractive!!
