well I live in nj- my sister use to have a day care out of her home. She would charge $55–60 a day depending on the ages infants should be about $75–80 She only was able to have 4 Kids n had to register with the police dept. I think u could have up to five. Charge each person 160 a Week that works. Its all good !! Happy sitting !!

Is there an HOA in your neighborhood? Many years ago when I lived in California my mom would watch my 2 kids and my sisters 3 kids. She wasn’t running a daycare, simply watching her grandchildren. Well, one of the neighbors turned her into the HOA for running a non-licensed daycare. She had to prove that they were here grandkids. Some people have way too much time on their hands.

I have no idea how much you should charge, but I work in a daycare and just want to warn you of how much trouble you can get into for running a non-licensed daycare, whether the children are family and/or friends or not. Exercise caution.

Check program for parents first and get licensed just to protect yourself and the children you are going to watch. As for charging only if you are licensed you can charge up to 150 to 160 a week for a fulltime kid and a part time kid 40 to 50 a week.
