Are there any tablets that can run Internet Explorer?

Asked by RareDenver (13173points) September 8th, 2011

We are looking at a couple of systems for our office and they are both web based applications but both only work in IE. We are also considering getting some small tablets, we have a bunch of tablet laptops but were looking for something a bit more portable too.

A tablet is a regular computer, its jsut like an average laptop.

@XOIIO I’m talking about things like the iPad, Blackberry Playbook, Samsung Galaxy Tab etc

You could theoretically run IE on anything, provided that the OS would support it. AFAIK, the OSes on the machines that you listed are developed specifically for them. Odds are very good that they will not support IE.

Look for ones that actually run Windows. They’re out there, they just don’t get the press as much. Here’s an article to start you on your way.

Ah. Those are more.. I guess tablets, but they each have their own web browser. MYbe develop a mobile version of the site.

@Nullo great article. Thanks.

Any of the windows based tablets will do it but not on iOS or Android. Windows mobile powered devices have pocket IE which is probably not what you are looking for.
