Is my relay burnt?

Asked by BoyWonder (811points) September 11th, 2011

So I got into a little accident with my 2002 Civic coupe. Anyway the body shop fixed it and it looks great! Only problem I have is that my indicators don’t work. My indicator lights are also my park lights. They work as park lights when I have my headlight switch on. But when I flip the stick to indicate left or right, the light doesn’t flash. It flashes on the dash but not on the bulbs. The hazards flash in the dash also but also not on the bulbs. I checked my fuses, those aren’t blown. Help!!

K so the fuses work. Check that off. Inside the dashboard lights work. Check. It has to be electrical. Something isn’t hooked up correctly.

Are you certain the bulbs are not blown? Just because they work as parking lights doesn’t mean the blinker works. Some of these bulbs have two filaments, or even a separate bulb. This is what I’d do: get access to the bulbs in each assembly and either test the continuity of each bulb or just replace the bulb and see what happens. If that doesn’t solve the problem, write back.
